We, at Ikorodu Metropolitan Lions Club offer supportive and inspirational environments for people around us. We are known for encouraging like minds to learn and grow with us in the spirit of Lionism, making better the universe. Our passion for service means we achieve more than outstanding results. We strive to build confident and creative thinkers who are prepared to extend the gesture of services to our local communities and the world at large.

We have impacted our people’s lives in aspects like child nutrition, education, environment, healthcare, empowerment, skill acquisition and so on. When we share stories with you about the people and communities we serve, it’s important to us that the unjust reality of life for our neighbors around our local communities is seen and never forgotten. Ikorodu Metropolitan Lions purpose is to serve humanity so that all may live as God intends, and our hope is to share justice, compassion, and love with all we serve.

Activities Overview
We aim at offering all people around us the social well-being they deserve. Through collaborations with our international office at Oakbroak, United States, we have set out recurrent events to actualize alongside other lions clubs in the district to ensure touching citizens lives via our lions core projects.
Feeding The Hunger
Every year, we donate food to people who are deprived of adequate nutrition. We also educate them on the need for proper nutrition.
Giving Vision
We help the blind and visionary-impaired people to restore their sights through free eye-glasses donations and free surgeries. We believe that light gives hope.
Diabetes Awareness
In accordance to the United Nations plan to mitigate diabetes globally. We raise campaigns and symposiums to educate people on how to limit diabetes.
Youth Empowerment
We are fond of making the youths future leaders through our youth empowerment programmes. We just want to see them creating their own business empires.
Enviromental Project
We are great proponents of the Paris Agreement. We encourage a clean and Eco-friendly society. One that devoid the emission of Co2. This as envisioned globally.
Child Cancer Awareness
Each year, we collaborate with natal institutions to raise campaigns on our to eradicate child cancer in our society. We also gift expectant mothers maternity supplies.
Our Leadership Activities
Leadership Training
Through a well-codified arrangements. We train lions and leos to be greater leaders among peers. We take them life through experiences and mentorship that will prepare them to be leaders in the lions realm and the society as a whole .
Leo Sponsorship
We are a sponsor to two leos clubs. One being a scholastic based, while the other being a community based. We oversee their leadership spirits and we support them morally and financially, so they could be greater lions in the nearest future.
Personality Building
One of our priorities is to help shape lions and leos attitude for better. Our communities deserve well-comported people with good sense of judgement. Thus we are obliged to make all members be dignified.
